What documents do you need in our conventional method
If you’re planning to crawl through the Divisional Secretariats office then you’re going to need two things.One is your emissions test relevant to the current time period and the second is your proof of insurance.
What documents do you need for the Online method
Just like the conventional method you’re going to need your emissions test and your proof of insurance.In addition all you’re going to need is your old revenue licence. If you have all three of those then you can rest easy.
So what exactly is the process
Visit the Department of Motor traffic website through one of your devices. Filter your selection and select either western province or the relevant province you live in.
Then proceed to choose your language selection depending on your preference. If you have any other issues moving forward contact the department of motor traffic at 1919.To proceed you’ll need to login with a google account, so sign up. Then in the proceeding interface choose license renewal option. Continue with the vehicle registration number.
You will be redirected in this case where you will have to enter your current revenue license number and your vehicle chassis number. After this step the website will continue to show the details relevant to the original owner listing their name and residential address. Keep in mind that these will be listed to the original owner in the case of open papers.
It will proceed to show you the availability to renew your revenue license.Before you move on check which date you revenue license expires.
Use the portal to upload your emissions test and proof insurance and continue to the government paywall. Choose your payment method and verify your payment.
What is this temporary revenue license
Once you have successfully submitted your details you will receive a reference and this is highly important as this is your reference until you get a physical copy of your revenue license. Continue to print the digital copy which you will also receive in email.You can use this as your temporary revenue license until you receive a physical copy as it includes all the information that is present within the original document.

Log වුණාට පස්සේ ලැබෙන interface එකේ “තත්වය පරීක්ෂා කරන්න”, “පළමු බලපත්‍රය”, “බලපත්‍රය අලුත් කරන්න” යනුවෙන් බලා ගන්න පුළුවන්. ඔබට අවශ්‍ය බලපත්‍රය අලුත් කර ගන්න නිසා, “බලපත්‍රය අලුත් කරන්න” කියන තැන click කරන්න. ඊට පස්සේ එන interface එකේ search bar එකේ බස්නාහිර පළාත කියලා තිබුණට, ඔබට කැමති province එකක් select කර ගන්න පුළුවන්. ඊළඟට වාහනයේ ලියාපදිංචි අංකය ඇතුළත් කරන්න ඕනේ.
ඊට පස්සේ පෙර ආදායම් බලපත්‍ර අංකය ලබා දෙන්න ඕනේ. එතනට දැනට ඔබ ළඟ තියෙන ආදායම් බලපත්‍රයේ අංකය ඇතුළත් කරන්න පුළුවන්. ඊට පස්සේ වාහනයේ චැසි අංකය. වාහනයේ පොතෙන් හෝ දුම් පරීක්ෂා සහතිකයෙන් ඔබට වාහනයේ චැසි අංකය බලා ගන්න පුළුවන්. මේ අවශ්‍ය විස්තර නිවැරදිව ඇතුල් කළාට පස්සේ ඔබට පුළුවන් පහළින් ඇති “හරි” මත click කරන්න.

තහවුරු කළාට පස්සේ ඔබට පෙන්වනවා, වාහනයේ register number එක, දැනට ඇති ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය expire වෙන්නේ කවදද සහ වාහන ආදායම් බලපත්‍රයේ තත්වය. ආදායම් බලපත්‍රයේ තත්වයට පෙන්වන්නේ, අලුත් කළ හැකියි කියලා. එහෙම තියෙනවා නම් “ඉදිරියට” click කරන්න.
ඊට පස්සේ ඔබ වාහනයේ රක්ෂණ සහතිකය සහ දුම් පරීක්ෂා සහතිකය ඉදිරිපත් කරන්න ඕනේ. ඔබට කරන්න තියෙන්නේ ඔබේ වාහනය රක්ෂණය කරපු රක්ෂණ සමාගම තෝරා, “වලංගු කිරීම” click කරන්න. දුම් පරීක්ෂා කරපු සමාගම තෝරා, “වලංගු කිරීම” click කරන්න. එතකොට ඔබේ වාහනයේ රක්ෂණ සහ දුම් පරීක්ෂා සහතිකය වලංගු නම් valid කියලා පෙන්වනවා. ඊළඟට බලපත්‍ර ගාස්තුව සහ තැපැල් ගාස්තුව පෙන්වනවා. “ඉදිරියට” click කරන්න.
දැන් ඔබට ගෙවීම් තොරතුරු බලාගන්න පුළුවන්. “ඉදිරියට” click කරන්න. එතනින් ඔබ යන්නේ Sri Lanka Government Payment කියන website එකට. එතනදි ලබා දීලා තියෙන conditions වලට පහළින් “I Accept” click කරන්න. ඊට පස්සේ ඔබේ payment method එක select කරලා payment එක කරන්න ඉදිරියට යන්න පුළුවන්.
මොකක්ද මේ තාවකාලික ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය?
අවසානයේදී ඔබට පෙන්වනවා reference number එකක්. අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම මේක save කරලා තියාගන්න. මොකද අලුත් කරපු ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය ආවෙ නැත්නම් හරි, යම් ප්‍රමාදයක් වුණොත් හරි, මේ reference number එක හරහා තමයි සියලුම විමසීම් කරන්න තියෙන්නේ. ඒ විමසීම් 1919 ට call කරලා කරන්න පුළුවන්. ඊට පස්සේ phone number එකක් ලබා දීලා receipt එක print කර ගන්න. එතනදි “කුවිතාන්සිය මුද්‍රණය කරන්න” click කළාම ඔබේ තාවකාලික වාහන ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය ලැබෙනවා. Original ආදායම් බලපත්‍රයේ ඇතුළත් වෙන විස්තර සියල්ලම වගේ මේකෙත් ඇතුළත් වෙනවා. ඉතින් original ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය තැපෑලෙන් එනකම් ඔබට මේක භාවිතා කරන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ වගේම මාසයක කාලයක් මේ තාවකාලික ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය වලංගු වෙනවා. ඔබේ mail එකටත් මේ ආදායම් බලපත්‍රය එනවා. ඒ නිසා ඔබට ඒක print කර ගන්න පුළුවන්.
