Perodua Viva Elite 2014 Review

Today’s review is about a car which has been manufactured in Malaysia – the Perodua Viva Elite. Viva is Italian for the phrase “long live.” The Viva comes from the Malaysian manufacturer, Perodua, which has been in business since 2006. Viva Elite vehicles can be seen from 2007 to 2014, and they have been modeled after the Daihatsu Mira 7th generation. Now let’s get down to the details of this popular hatchback.

Exterior Design:

The Viva Elite car has a relatively simple appearance. It is designed in such a way that it is simple yet charming at first sight. The front of the car has a plastic grille. The car also has standard halogen headlights along with fog lights and indicator lights. This is a hatchback with a ground clearance of 150mm, which is average for a hatchback car. The driver cabin, on the other hand, has plenty of legroom for a car of its size.

The passenger compartment is fitted with standard seats and again there’s quite a bit of legroom in the back too. As a result, three passengers can travel in the back, although the comfort levels are likely to be compromised for the passenger riding in the middle.

Performance:

The engine of the Viva Elite is combined with Daihatsu DVVT technology. This vehicle is powered by a 1000cc inline 3 or 3-cylinder engine. The engine is naturally aspirated and has a power output of 61bhp. It is also capable of producing 90 Nm torque at 3500 rpm. The Viva’s power is generated by the front wheels, and is also available with both automatic and manual transmission. In both cases, there are five forward gears visible.

The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h is 15.4 seconds. A top speed of 145km/h is also possible. Speaking of the fuel consumption, this car does about 13-14 kilometers per liter in suburban areas and slightly less in urban areas.

Ride Quality:

When it comes to the driving experience, the Viva comes with a smooth clutch, assisting smooth change of gears. The Viva Elite provides a really smooth ride experience. The turning radius measures 4.4m. As a result, it is much easier to perform a sharp turn while driving on winding roads. There is also a quick pick-up option.

Safety and Technology:

This Malaysian Daihatsu-DNA Perodua Viva Elite prioritizes safety and includes much of the features often associated with larger and more advanced car models. Some of the Viva Elite’s safety features include dual airbags, pillar garnish, and a roof with built-in impact-absorbing material.
