Perodua Axia 2016 Review

That is the Perodua Axia 2016.If we look at the history of this vehicle, the production of this Axia began by the Perodua company in Malaysia. That was in the year 2014. So, from 2014 till now, we can see Perodua Axia variant.

Exterior Design

We can see the Perodua Axia in three grades. That is G, SE and Advance grade. But of these grades, only the basic grade G grade is sold in Sri Lanka. So, when you look at the front of the Perodua Axia G grade, it gives a nice look. This comes from the headlights. Here we see Halogen Reflector headlights, but no fog lamps are visible. The Perodua emblem is then noticed.

Next, we can see grills and air vents. Coming to the side view, we see 14-inch alloy wheels. Talking about the brake system, it has a ventilated disc in the front and drum brake in the back.

We see a ground clearance of 165 mm. Generally, the ground clearance is at a good level, so you can travel on a road with small potholes without any difficulty.
When we go to the rear, we can see a little look of an alto. So, if we talk about tail lights, we find LED Combination lights. Also, fog lamps are not found in the front as well as in the back.

Talking about the boot space, we get a boot space of 260 liters. We can enlarge the boot area by folding the rear seat forward.

Interior Design

Talking about the interior of Perodua Axia, we find the door is made of hard plastic. We can see normal sized door bins.In the driver’s cabin, manual adjustable seats are available. The height of the driver’s seat can be adjusted as we like. This is a seat with a foldable backrest. So, we can drive in comfort with good legroom and headroom as well.
We do not get a multifunctional steering wheel in this car. If we talk about the meter panel, we get a small meter panel. The Perodua Axia 2016 has an analog simple meter panel and is equipped with 4 speakers with a Radio CD player.

The dashboard is completely made of hard plastic. There is a manual air-conditioner here.
So, we can get a good drive cabin that matches the budget in Perodua Axia.

If we talk about the passenger area, we can see the front and rear door board with hard plastic. Although not as much as the front and the back, you can get good legroom and headroom. It is designed so that three people may fit in the back. The middle seat has a small floor hump, but it does not cause inconvenience to the passenger.Passengers have also been given storage bins in the doors.

Performance

Here we find a 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine. It produces 66 hp and 90 Nm torque. If we take the engine capacity, it can be categorized as a 998 cc. Here is a conventional automatic drivetrain and a 33-liter fuel tank.If we talk about the fuel consumption, we can get a good fuel consumption of 20 km per liter from this vehicle.

Ride Quality

If we talk about the ride quality of the Perodua Axia 2016, it is very easy to drive with good stability and you can get a good pickup. Very easy to handle. Of course, the sound of the engine can be heard a little more inside.

Also, it is very easy to turn the vehicle because it has a turning radius of 4.7 meters. Anyone can drive this easily because it gets a good view.

Safety & Technology

Axia has got 4 stars from ASEAN NCAP-rated. There are two airbags here. It also includes ISOFIX child seat anchors. Apart from that, two Parking Sensor Rear, ABS/EBD and Immobilizer as other safety features included here.
