Nissan Patrol 2013 Review
What's on the page
A patrol is a group of reeds on patrol. So, this type of reed group should have a very good power and the ability to reach the desired place easily. So today CarsGuide has brought for review a luxury off road vehicle that has good power and can easily reach anywhere. That is the Nissan Patrol 2013.
So, this SUV was first produced by Nissan in 1951. From 1951 to now, it has been created in a number of variations. So now in Sri Lanka we can see Nissan Patrol generation 6. So today we are talking about the Nissan Patrol Sixth generation.
Exterior Design
As mentioned before, the Nissan Patrol is a full-size luxury SUV.
So, we can see an aggressive look, taller than other vehicles. The first thing we see is the unique shell design of Nissan. The grill is designed in a diamond shape. Right in the middle of the grill we can see the Nissan badge.
If we talk about headlights, it comes fitted with halogen headlights, along with fog lights. Coming to the side view, we can see the side skirts. So, even if the vehicle is taller, we can get into it without any difficulty due to these. We can see a good wide look. The wide look can be seen even more because of the mirrors.
The SUV comes with 18-inch wheels, hence a very good ground clearance of 210 mm.
If we talk about the boot space of this car, we may observe a boot space of 550 liters. Also, by folding the second and third row seats, the boot space can be enlarged up to 3100 liters. This is actually a very good amount of space.
Interior Design
When talking about the interior of Nissan Patrol 2013, this can be considered one of the biggest cars in the world. Compared to both Y61 Patrol and Toyota Landcruiser, the interior of Nissan Patrol 2013 is bigger. It is also heavy.
The interior is made of wood grain, leather and high-end plastics, presenting a good luxury look and comfort.
Talking about the driver seat, it is a comfortable seat with a very good holder.
The steering wheel, compared to other vehicles, is a bit thinner. But the holder is very good. So, it can be handled well.
If we talk about the passenger seat position in the drive cabin, there is a position of sitting in a chair at home. Unlike a car, you can travel very easily. Also, there are seats with a good holder. We can see the dashboard, informative system and AC vents in a traditional way like in a normal vehicle. Not only that, a good storage area has been given to match the size of the vehicle.
An armrest has been given to the driver as well as the front passenger. Also, the electric seat option has been given to the driver and passenger.
Good legroom and headroom can be seen.
There are two rows in the passenger area. 5 passengers can easily travel behind. As before, good comfortable seats have been given.
Performance
Nissan Patrol 2013 has a 5.6-liter V8 petrol engine. It provides 298 kW power and 60 Nm torque. This car can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.
Here the fuel consumption is 14.5L/100 km. Also, the V8 engine provides a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Nissan Patrol 2013 can be used to travel on Sand, Snow, Rock and On-road travel.
Ride Quality
When talking about the ride quality, the first thing to say is that there is a good cabin. Because the seating position is high, you can get a very good view and take turns very easily just like driving a car. It has a good suspension system so you can ride very comfortably.
Safety & Technology
The 2013 Nissan Patrol has received 3 out of 5 stars from the ANCAP safety rating. That means this car has a good level of safety.
6 air bags have been included here. It is dual front; 1st row side and curtain airbags for all three rows.
The special thing here is that there are electronic stability controls, so there is nothing to fear even if we suddenly lose control of the vehicle.
Also, we can call Vehicle Dynamic Control, Traction Control, ABS brakes, brakeforce distribution as other safety features here.
