Nissan Serena 1992 Review

The Nissan Serena, a nameplate that has been around for decades, began its journey as a compact multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). Introduced in 1991, the 1992 version belongs to the first generation of this line. Over the years, the Serena has undergone several transformations, with the 1992 model being the genesis of what would become a long-standing and popular series for Nissan. As of my last update in 2022, the Nissan Serena has seen five generations, each iterating and improving upon the last, adapting to changing market demands and technological advancements.

Exterior Design

The 1992 Nissan Serena showcased a boxy, practical design – a common styling approach for MPVs of that era. Its tall stance and long windows were indicative of its focus on maximizing internal space and providing clear visibility. The front fascia was simplistic, with rectangular headlights and a modest grille.

Interior Design

Inside, the Serena was all about functionality. The cabin was spacious, and the vehicle could seat multiple passengers comfortably. With its flat floor and high roof, the Serena offered ample headroom and legroom for all occupants. Materials used were durable, though not necessarily luxurious.
